Palliative care is holistic care that identifies, assesses and addresses the comprehensive needs of people experiencing serious illness, including pain and other symptoms, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
It’s difficult for families to know when it’s time to consider palliative care. All families come at serious illness with a different perspective or viewpoint, but the earlier the families approach palliative care, the more we can be helpful to them. So I encourage people to consider us as early as you want to, and even if we don’t get directly involved, we can still be of assistance in a care coordination method.

Who Receives Palliative Care?
Palliative care is for anyone diagnosed with a serious illness, regardless of age or stage of their illness. It can be delivered simultaneously with treatments aimed at curing or delivered by itself when a cure is no longer an option.
