Gift bags to be delivered to area residents through Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels
WHAT: The compassionate care provided by the nursing team at Kenmore Mercy Hospital extends far beyond the bedside and into the heart of the Ken-Ton community. Today, nurses are hosting their annual “Spring Happiness” Gift Bag Collection, continuing a tradition focused on spreading joy and connection to community members this Easter.
This year, more than 350 colorful bags – each thoughtfully assembled and donated items from hospital associates – will be distributed to Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels clients. Representatives from the organization will collect the bags and deliver them to program participants along their daily routes in coming days.
These special deliveries help remind our community that they are valued. Social connection plays a vital role in supporting mental and physical well-being, particularly among older adults, helping reduce feelings of isolation while fostering a sense of community.

The hospital’s Community Room will be filled with hundreds of colorful gift bags. Interviews will be available with members of Kenmore Mercy Hospital’s nursing staff and Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels representatives.
