Mercy Hospital of Buffalo will temporarily shut down all services at the Mercy Ambulatory Care Center (MACC) on November 17 to install a new back-up generator at the Orchard Park facility located at 3669 Southwestern Boulevard. All services, including the MACC’s 24/7 two-bed hospital and Emergency Department, will resume full operations beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, November 18.
Along with the MACC’s Emergency Department, which has been temporarily closed since November 9, the following services will be shut down on November 17 only:
EMS providers and Health Department officials have been notified of the temporary closure of the MACC and the resumption of full services on November 18.
Area residents with non-emergent medical conditions are advised to contact their primary care provider, seek care at an urgent care facility or through telemedicine or virtual visits, such as CH Care OnDemand at chcareondemand.org. Those with more serious medical emergencies should go to the nearest hospital Emergency Department, including Mercy Hospital, or call 9-1-1.
