Catholic Health will resume elective surgeries beginning Friday, October 11 at all of its hospitals including Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Sisters of Charity Hospital, and its St. Joseph Campus, with a full surgical schedule beginning Monday, October 14.

This is due to the immediate response from our physicians in assessing the needs of our patients and the incredible work of our care teams to conserve and effectively manage the IV fluid supply across our system this week.

“By taking this responsible approach, we have been able to ensure we have the IV solutions for our patients who need them most,” said Dr. Victor Filadora, Chief Physician Executive for Catholic Health. “We would like to thank our patients for their understanding and our physicians and caregivers for taking the lead in our system and community to safely manage this critical situation while continuing to provide the highest quality care.”

Patients should reach out to their physician office if they have questions regarding an upcoming surgery.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with everyone affected by the hurricanes in the Southeastern United States.
