Care Philosophy
My goal is to build a trusting relationship with my patients, where they feel heard and are empowered to be an active participant in their care. It is my duty to educate my patients about their health and tailor each treatment plan to their unique needs and goals. This way, I can help them live their best lives. I promise this to all of my patients, regardless of background or beliefs.
Background
Dr. Megan Guntrum is a family care physician with Mount St. Mary’s and Lockport Memorial Hospital. A native of Pennsylvania, she graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine and arrived in Western New York for her residency at Erie County Medical Center where she served as Academic Chief from May 2021 through May 2022. Dr. Guntrum, specializes in LGBTQ+ care, is a certified Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) instructor, and has additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support(BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
