Laura McGowan, DO

Care Philosophy

Dr. McGowan is passionate about impacting a patient’s health and well-being, building relationships throughout a patient’s lifetime, and delivering preventive care. She believes effective communication is vital in the quality of care experience and overall health outcomes. She helps her patients understand their treatment plans through collaborative education. In each interaction, Dr. McGowan listens to and reflects on what her patients tell her. “If I can help my patients feel heard and understood, I am one step closer to cultivating a true partnership in their care.”

Background

Board certified in Internal Medicine and Headache Medicine, Dr. McGowan has been providing care to patients for over 10 years. A graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. McGowan completed her residency at St. Luke’s University Hospital and Health Network in Bethlehem, PA before returning home to Western New York.

Dr. McGowan treats a wide variety of acute and chronic health conditions such as diabetes, HTN, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disease, migraines and headaches, URI, sinusitis, and UTI.
