Physical therapy relieves pain and improves your ability to move. For instance, it can eliminate back pain or make it easier to go up and down stairs. It can also help you recover after surgery, such as after joint replacement.

Physical therapy often includes exercise, such as stretching or walking.

Manual therapy, including massage, relaxes the muscles and eases pain. Your therapist may apply pressure to a joint, or use slow, measured movements to relieve tightness and improve flexibility and alignment.

Conditions Treated by Physical Therapy

Most Insurances Accepted

Catholic Health accepts most insurances. See our list of participating health plans.

No Referral Required, In Most Cases

Most patients do not need a referral from their doctors to receive physical therapy. A physician referral is required for patients with Medicare, Medicaid, workers comp. and no-fault insurance.
