Catholic Health offers pre-operative education classes to our patients scheduled for an upcoming total knee, hip, or shoulder replacement surgery. These classes will outline how to prepare for surgery, pre-operative exercises, precautions to take, pain management, and other issues that could arise during your joint replacement journey.
We ask that patients attend this class one month to two weeks prior to your scheduled procedure. Please note, a representative from our hospitals will reach out to you to register for an upcoming class after your surgeon sets a date for your surgery.

To minimize your visits to the hospital, you may schedule your pre-op testing on the same day as your pre-operative class.
