Regular mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it’s easier to treat. A mammogram takes a closer look for changes in breast tissue that may be too small or deep to be felt by an experienced health professional. It’s the best way to find breast cancer at an early stage. The expert team at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital is dedicated to providing you with expert analysis and compassionate care.
Mammography – Mammograms are recommended as annual occurrences for women over the age of 40, though a family history of female cancers or other medical diagnoses may give physicians reason to suggest a screening earlier than 40. Digital Mammography offers radiologists the ability to digitally enhance images for improved interpretation of breast tissue. 3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis) takes multiple 2D images from different angles, creating a 3D model of your breast tissue.

Mount St. Mary’s Mammography is located on the Mount St. Mary’s Hospital campus in Lewiston, where there is no cost to park in the hospital lot.
To ensure the comfort of our patients and visitors, free valet parking is available on weekdays (Monday-Friday), with pickup/drop-off from our Main (South) Lobby. Valet service operates from 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and cars will be parked in the designated area next to the hospital. If you cannot retrieve your valeted car until after 3:30 p.m., your keys will be left with the hospital security staff and identification is required to return them.
