Stress Tests for Cardiac Health

A stress test is used to record the heartbeat during exercise. This helps a doctor determine how well your heart can handle work. At Catholic Health, we offer several different cardiac stress tests as part of our award-winning Cardiac and Vascular Care centers.

Stress Echocardiogram

A stress echocardiogram is a stress test that includes ultrasound imaging with the exam. The test allows the doctor to see the heart muscle at work during exercise. These pictures are obtained painlessly by placing a small ultrasound probe on the chest wall over the heart. A cardiologist will analyze these images to obtain added information about your heart.
