Thaddeus E Szarzanowicz, MD

Background

Dr. Ted Szarzanowicz is a Western New York native who graduated from Depew High School and went on to pursue his undergraduate degree at Cornell University.

He received his medical degree from University at Buffalo School of Medicine, where he also completed his orthopaedic residency. Dr. Szarzanowicz completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine before returning to Buffalo to begin practicing in 2001.

A knee surgery patient himself, undergoing multiple procedures including a reconstruction, Dr. Szarzanowicz’s patient philosophy employs a conservative approach while aiming to keep his patients as active as possible. He specializes in shoulder and knee replacements, as well as arthroscopic reconstructions.

In his free time, Dr. Szarzanowicz enjoys saltwater and freshwater fishing, hiking, visiting national parks with his family, and avidly following the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills.
