My goal is to achieve tangible results while improving my patient’s quality of life. I do my best to be straight forward and honest with patients, and discuss the issues they are having so they fully understand their condition and have realistic expectations and goals when it comes to treatment.
A native of Western New York, Dr. Ostempowski completed his undergraduate degree at Canisius College and received his medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed internships in general surgery as well as orthopedic surgery at the University of Cincinnati, where he also served as chief resident during his last year. Before returning home to Buffalo, Dr. Ostempowski spent a year as a fellow at the University of California at San Diego, where he trained in techniques of advanced hip and knee reconstruction under Dr. William Bugbee.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Ostempowski currently practices general orthopedics. He performs open and arthroscopic procedures of the hip, knee and shoulder. He has a special interest in joint reconstruction surgery, including partial replacements, primary total and revision joint replacements of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Rotator cuff surgery and basic fracture care are also routinely seen in his practice.
