Care Philosophy

I chose to go into medicine to help people. I work with my patients to find a solution that will result in the best possible outcome and help them achieve their goals. My approach to care is always thoughtful and caring, with the intention of minimizing long-term pain.

Background

Dr. Matthew Mann was born in Quebec, Canada and moved across the country to British Columbia, where he grew up. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, and completed medical school and an orthopedic surgery residency at McGill University. Dr. Mann also completed a knee and hip reconstruction fellowship at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a foot and ankle fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Mann is experienced in all aspects of the lower extremities. He is also skilled in performing revision work on previous surgeries.

After finding a work life balance and traffic in WNY to be better than in Toronto, Dr. Mann decided to make Buffalo his home. Dr. Mann has contributed to several research articles in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and in the field of adult reconstruction and arthroplasty.

Interesting Fact About Dr. Mann

Though Dr. Mann originated from the Great White North, he has never played the national sport of Canada- ice hockey!
