Board certified in general surgery, Dr. Alvarez-Perez completed his medical training at Ross University. He went on to complete his internship and residency through the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, as well as an endovascular surgery fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Va.
Locally, Dr. Alvarez-Perez currently serves as an assistant professor at UB’s School of Medicine as well as an adjunct clinical assistant professor at Daemen College.
A diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he also holds memberships in the WNY Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, Buffalo Surgical Society, Western New York Vascular Society, Eastern Vascular Society, the Society for Vascular Ultrasound, and the International Society for Vascular Surgery
