Care Philosophy

Dr. Mack provides comprehensive and expert orthopedic care for all patients. He compassionately treats their musculoskeletal conditions by aiming to optimize patient health and function, promote a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention, and offer surgical treatment when necessary. His goal is to have a positive impact on his patients’ lives by improving function, eliminating pain, and improving quality of life. He is focused on forming lasting relationships with his patients and their families through a lifetime of musculoskeletal care.

Background

Dr. Mack is board certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship trained in both primary and revision total hip, total knee, and partial knee replacement. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and served in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Named the White House Medical Consultant for Joint Replacement Surgery in 2016, Dr. Mack was also recognized with the Master Clinician Award at Walter Reed. For meritorious combat service in the U.S. Army, Dr. Mack was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He is an Associate Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

He treats conditions including hip and knee pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, avascular necrosis, and orthopedic trauma. His treatments include minimally invasive direct anterior total hip replacement, total and partial knee replacement, revision total hip and knee replacement, orthopedic trauma and fracture care, and general orthopedic surgical care.
