Care Philosophy

I hope to make my patients feel relaxed and comfortable. I aim to provide a compassionate environment where we can discuss their medical issue. I want patients to understand why we are doing what we are doing. They should leave educated and comfortable with their treatment plan.

I had a shoulder injury from playing volleyball that required surgery when I was fresh out of college. During my surgery and rehab, I kept thinking, ‘I could be that guy that’s helping athletes and other people get better.’ I had a science background in college and I realized it could be my job to help athletes heal get back to playing sports.

It can be intimidating to seek care for orthopedic pain. Not everyone who sees a surgeon needs to have surgery, and so I try to make that interaction less intimidating. I aim to provide a wide range of treatment options, starting with non-surgical treatments. Sometimes, the reason to go to the doctor isn’t for treatment, but just to find out what’s the source of your pain.
