Founded in 1989 as Global Outreach, Global Health Volunteers, a not-for-profit organization, has recruited, trained, and sent teams of healthcare professionals to provincial villages and distressed urban areas in Latin America and the Caribbean to provide professional healthcare and health education to people with little or no access to these resources. It has served thousands of people through the dedicated work of hundreds of volunteers.
Catholic Health has sent numerous medical teams to Central and South America to assist our in-country partners in achieving their goal of developing healthier communities and help them move towards self-sustainability.
