Director’s Letter

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Mercy Hospital of Buffalo’s Postgraduate Year One Pharmacy Residency Program. Our program was developed in 2014, is located in Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and is affiliated with D’Youville School of Pharmacy.

Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is a community-teaching hospital, offering the best of both worlds. The small, friendly, community feeling among associates and patients; along with the academic teaching offered through University at Buffalo’s Internal Medicine Residency Program and state of the art cardiac and stroke services. Additionally, multiple pharmacist preceptors hold adjunct faculty positions at the University at Buffalo and/or D’Youville Schools of Pharmacy.

Our program offers multiple opportunities to customize the experience gained through many electives, teaching certificate through D’Youville School of Pharmacy, and well qualified preceptors in their respective fields. Our goal for this program is to provide multiple opportunities for a broad experience and professional development as well as open doors into PGY2 programs and clinical specialist positions.

Again, I would like to thank you for your interest. Please take a look our website and feel free to contact us with any questions.
