Research Project: Assessment of intravenous metoprolol vs diltiazem for atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular rate with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF).
Interests/Hobbies: Traveling, cooking, biking.
Why I Chose Catholic Health Pharmacy Residency Program: I chose CHS because of the variety of learning opportunities available through the health system. Having the option to do elective rotation at different sites within catholic health system really makes the program more enticing. Additionally, the preceptors all gave the impression that they really enjoy what they do and enjoy teaching and mentoring the residents.
Research Project: Effect of in-hospital pneumococcal vaccine and readmissions for pulmonary diseases.
Interests/Hobbies: Coaching softball, going to the gym, hanging out with friends and family.
Why I Chose Catholic Health Pharmacy Residency Program: Everyone at my interview was so welcoming and this program has ample opportunities to grow as a pharmacist!
Research Project: Management of diabetic ketoacidosis in adults: a two-bag protocol compared to conventional protocol.
Interests/Hobbies: Weightlifting, hiking, fishing, traveling, spending time with my friends and family.
Why I Chose Catholic Health Pharmacy Residency Program: I chose CHS/Mercy hospital for my PGY-1 residency because of its diverse array of rotation options including CVICU, NCC and EM rotations. Additionally, the presence of many knowledgeable and skilled preceptors will ensure that I expand my knowledge about the many nuances of clinical pharmacy. I believe that the residency program at CHS/Mercy hospital will allow me to become a well-rounded pharmacist.
Research Project: University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Interests/Hobbies: Pickleball, Reading, Hiking, Trivia.
