Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) test voucher paid for by the program.
PGY-II residents are provided an entire module of protected time for surgical simulation at the Applied Technology Lab for Advanced Surgery (ATLAS) at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (RPCCC). This includes study time for the online written examination and hands-on preparation for the manual skills portion of the FLS examination. The ATLAS is at a FLS testing center, which allows residents to take the exam in a familiar environment without the time and expense of travel.
PGY-III residents attend an annual gynecologic surgical conference (laparoscopy, minimal invasive, robotic) of their choosing.
PGY-III residents attend the CREOG Resident Workshop as a group to prepare for their leadership role during chief year.
PGY-IV residents attend a week-long board review course.
