Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program

Welcome to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, New York.

The purpose of our obstetrics and gynecology residency program is to prepare physicians for the challenges of women's health care today and in the future. Our aim is to help you meet your full potential as an obstetrician and gynecologist while providing the education and training to pass the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty exams leading to board certification and fellowship in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Our four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology is a university program sponsored by the State University of New York at Buffalo. As a resident at Sisters Hospital, you will receive comprehensive education and training in OB/GYN, enhanced with solid operative experience and exposure to outpatient/office practice. An OB/GYN residency at Sisters Hospital is a complete preparation for primary care practice or a post-residency fellowship.

I feel we have an excellent residency program and we are always trying to improve the quality of resident education. At our last accreditation review, we received a three-year full accreditation cycle. The hospital and faculty are dedicated to continue with our long tradition of resident education in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and commit the needed resources to accomplish this endeavor.

Our focus at Sisters Hospital OB/GYN residency program is on excellent ethics and a humanistic approach to women's health care. We are always available to answer any questions you may have.
