Linda Rae Lillis graduated from Niagara University with her undergraduate degree in 1998. She then left Western New York to attend graduate school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
While working as a registered nurse on the postpartum floor, she completed her Master’s degree in Nursing and the coursework needed to sit for the national certification examination in Nurse-Midwifery. She officially became a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2002.
Linda Rae worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife at OB-GYN Associates of Lewisburg and delivered babies at the Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. An opportunity to move closer to Western New York came about in 2006, when Linda Rae accepted a position at the former Lake Erie Women’s Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Linda Rae returned to Buffalo in 2008 when she joined Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. Since that time, Linda Rae has worked as a full-time night-shift midwife in the Labor and Delivery Unit., where she has delivered over 900 babies.
