The Infusion Centers at Catholic Health are now treating Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) with Tepezza (teprotumumab-trbw), a medication that works at the source to block IGF-1R, a key driver of TED pathophysiology throughout the course of the disease. By inhibiting IGF-1R, Tepezza produces quantifiable changes to the tissues behind the eye.
As the largest enroller of Tepezza in Western New York, our team has the expertise and experience to professionally treat your patients and work with your team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
When you refer a patient to the Catholic Health TED Program, we will manage all the administrative requirements for treatment, allowing you to focus on patient care. A board certified pharmacist with 20+ years of industry experience, will be your single point of contact and will manage:
Coordinating the submission of prior authorization with Catholic Health’s Infusion Centers
Taking the lead on the Patient Authorization (PA) form and requirements from the payors*
Reviewing your patient’s benefits and any payor-specific site of care requirements
Communicating with the site of care all information about the patient’s TED diagnosis and disease severity
Securing the most recent lab results
*The patient may need to sign a benefits investigation form for a financial assistance review and benefits investigation. The provider may need to sign the prior authorization form (once completed by Catholic Health) as the final step prior to PA submission to the insurance company.
Catholic Health will apply for financial assistance to lessen any out-of-pocket expenses associated with treatment. We work directly with your patients, helping them submit their explanation of benefits for foundation reimbursement of any out-of-pocket expense.
