City living is an enjoyable experience for the residents who call St. Catherine Labouré their home. We are conveniently located on the Sisters of Charity Hospital campus on Main Street in Buffalo, which is easily accessible by private or public transportation.
When you join the St. Catherine’s family, you will find a close-knit, caring team that strives to create a culture focused on providing excellent care, satisfaction, and service and life experiences with our hearts and through our hands.

Your Care TeamAs a resident, you'll be cared for by staff with special training in the care of the elderly.
Our staff includes physicians, nurses, occupational, physical and speech therapists, pharmacists, dietitians, nutritionists, social workers, case managers, chaplain, and activity directors.
Many of our associates have decades of experience and are committed to creating a home for our residents. Many are also board-certified specialists.

Our residents have quick access to immediate care at Sisters Hospital should they need it, as well as specialists, x-ray, lab and other hospital services.
They also have access to our on-site Adult Day Health Care program to help ease the transition back to home after successfully completing long-term rehabilitation.
St. Catherine’s is a two-level, air-conditioned facility where residents have single or shared rooms available to them. Rooms have individual climate controls for each person’s comfort.
All exit doors are equipped with an alert system for the safety of our residents.
Our associates find activities that you will enjoy and engage in to help with your adjustment to community living. Participation is voluntary.
Entertainment options include:
A wide selection of meal choices meet a variety of culinary preferences. Residents have access to a private dining room for family gatherings or small parties, as well as a second floor patio for relaxation or picnics.
Spirituality of all denominations is woven into the fabric of services provided. Our chaplain is an expert in servicing the spiritual needs of residents and patients.
Mass is celebrated three times per week and daily communion is available.
Regularly scheduled Family Council meetings offer an information sharing forum between families and the St. Catherine’s team.
Monthly Resident Council meetings help residents and team members identify opportunities to enhance the community.

St. Catherine Labouré Health Care Center is a proud participant in the WNY Alliance for Person-Centered Care, the first community-wide initiative of its kind in the U.S. aimed at transforming the way nursing homes and senior care providers deliver care to elders. Its vision is to educate, promote and develop person-centered care and to improve the quality of life for elders, their families and the community at large.

We encourage you to visit the facility prior to submitting your application to ensure it is the right fit. While we welcome visitors at any time, we encourage you to contact us to schedule a private tour so that we can give you all of our attention. Several payment options are available including private pay, Medicare and Medicaid.
Financial counselors are available to guide patients and caregivers through this process.
In general, Medicare pays for short periods of skilled nursing care. Medicaid pays for long nursing home stays for those whose income and savings are insufficient to cover the cost.
Visitors for our residents are welcome at any time.
Medical adult day care provides a place where someone requiring supervision can spend the day and have the opportunity to socialize and receive medical care.
The St. Catherine Adult Day Care Program allows individuals to live at home and enjoy a social network that can eliminate feelings of isolation. It can also reduce the stress that family, friends and caregivers may experience in managing an individual’s needs.
