Specialty Services
Emergency Care: The emergency room at St. Joseph Campus is staffed by a team of certified emergency physicians, physician assistants and nurses whose services are available 24-hours-a-day. The emergency department, constructed in 2005, features 18 specially-designed private treatment rooms with computer access for bedside registration, as well as a comfortable two-story lobby and an open nurses’ station design that allows for greater family access.
Orthopedics: St. Joseph Campus is a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacement. This designation recognizes our track record for better outcomes. Catholic Health hospitals are the only Buffalo area hospitals to receive this award.
Care for Non-Healing Wounds: Our Advanced Wound Healing Center treats non-healing wounds such as bed sores, diabetic foot and lower extremity ulcers, and more. The Center is equipped with a hyperbaric chamber that creates an enriched oxygen environment and promotes the growth of new tissue.
Bariatric (Weight Loss) Surgery: Commonly referred to as lap band surgery, this restrictive and reversible procedure places a hollow, silicone ring, or band, around the main portion of the stomach. Band tightness is achieved slowly over several adjustments, causing gradual excess body weight loss over a period of 18 months to 3 years.
Smoke-free Campus
Please note that smoking is not permitted anywhere on hospital property and off-site locations. This smoke-free policy includes all buildings, parking areas, cars parked on hospital property, grounds and adjacent sidewalks.
