Elaine Clutterbuck received a BSN from SUNY Buffalo School of Nursing, and worked in maternity as staff, then management until continuing her education.
She earned MSN from the University of Colorado Medical Center in Parent Child Nursing. Subsequently, she held a variety of positions: Labor and Delivery staff nurse, Emergency Department staff nurse, teaching Maternity nursing in a hospital based diploma program and later, at Niagara University School of Nursing.
Immediately prior to beginning midwifery education, Elaine was Perinatal Outreach Educator for the WNY Regional Perinatal Center. After graduation from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, she worked as a staff CNM at a local hospital and at University Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She, with Sarah Worrell and two other CNMs, was a founding partner of Nurse Midwifery Associates of Western New York, an independent midwifery practice.
