Hand therapists treat problems related to the wrist and hand.

Your therapist will teach you exercises to promote healing and how to change your behavior or movements to reduce injury. He or she may apply a splint or other tool to restore your hand function. At home, you will need to follow an exercise program, which will be based on your individual needs.

To receive hand therapy, please seek a prescription from your doctor. If you do not have a doctor, use our advanced search to find a doctor near you.
