Myofascial and CranioSacral Therapy

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a hands-on approach for treating the fascial system to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Fascia is connective tissue throughout the body that surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel and organ of the body, all the way down to the cellular level. Malfunction of the fascial system creates a binding down of the fascia, resulting in abnormal pressure on nerves, muscles, bones, or organs. This creates pain or malfunction throughout the body, sometimes with bizarre side effects and seemingly unrelated symptoms.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the craniosacral system.

The craniosacral system is the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. An imbalance or dysfunction in this system can cause sensory, motor and/or neurological disabilities.

The craniosacral system has a rhythm that may be palpated through the use of light touch. Skilled therapists can monitor the system, pinpoint irregularities and assist the body in self-correction. CST enhances the body's natural healing process.
