ACL Injury Prevention

Each year in the United States, 1 in 100 female athletes will suffer a serious knee injury.

You can prevent the likelihood of injury through the Sportsmetrics™ ACL Prevention Program, provided by AthletiCare.

During this program, jumping drills are used to teach the athlete to preposition the entire body safely when accelerating (jumping) or decelerating (landing).

The program is four to six-weeks long.

Returning to Play

In addition to prevention, the ACL program can assist athletes with a serious knee injury who are preparing to return to play. Under the supervision of an athletic trainer, you will learn the fundamentals of Sportsmetrics™ in a clinic setting and then train at home over a six week period.
