Natural Family Planning (NFP) is a general term for the natural methods used to achieve or avoid pregnancy that are based on the signs in a woman’s menstrual cycle.
As an educational system that can be used throughout a woman’s reproductive years, Natural Family Planning teaches a woman to observe her bodily changes and chart them throughout her cycle. This knowledge of her fertility pattern enables couples to focus intercourse on fertile or infertile days to implement their intentions.
The Catholic FertilityCare™ Center of Western New York provides instruction in the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System (CrMS) of Natural Family Planning. It is taught at Buffalo's Sisters of Charity Hospital and Mercy Hospital. Services are also provided at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.
In all of our years together, we've never seriously considered using anything else.
That's really a testament to its effectiveness.

The Catholic FertilityCare™Centers of Western New York also provide Pre-Cana witness services, as well as customized education programs for elementary and high school students.
