Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is skilled handling of soft body tissues like muscle, tendons, joints and ligaments. Through a variety of massage techniques, the massage therapist can work on these tissues to bring about medical benefits.

Studies have shown that massage not only helps with relieving stress and tension but symptomatically relieves a variety of conditions such as:

  • Arthritis, back and neck problems
  • Asthma
  • Depression
  • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms
  • Other chronic conditions

Services

Many people who consider themselves to be medically well are attracted to massage therapy for purposes of relaxation and stress relief. After all, we carry our stress in our bodies, and that stress can manifest itself in the form of fatigue, muscle tightness, irritability, and body aches. But for those suffering from physical or mental illness, massage can prove to have a profound impact on the healing and recovery process when used to complement traditional treatment methods.

Therapeutic massage provides help for people with a broad spectrum of health problems ranging from general stress to serious illnesses such as cancer.

Our services include:

  • Deep tissue massage
  • Orthopedic massage
  • Swedish massage
  • Stress reduction
  • Hot stone massage
  • Treatments of specific pathologies such as Arthritis Frozen Shoulder, neck and back issues and more

Most massage techniques are traditionally performed with the patient unclothed. Of course, you decide what amount of clothing you prefer to wear for your own comfort. The therapist will discuss all your options with you. Only the body part being worked on will be exposed; a sheet will cover the rest of your body.
