Infusion Services

Infusion therapy is the physician-ordered administration of intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products into a vein or under the skin. It includes the placement and management of vascular access devices.

Infusion therapy may be required following a patient's hospital stay or as a prolonged treatment of a chronic condition, such as cancer, AIDS, hemophilia, heart disease, nutritional defects, neuropathies and pain.

Treatment Facilities

Infusion services at Kenmore Mercy Hospital are provided within the Ambulatory Services Unit on the first floor, where staff provide a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
