Treatment Facility

The Center for Eating Disorder, founded by Carolyn Piver Dukarm M.D.,  is located at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo.

Becoming a Patient

If you are or may be suffering from an eating disorder, please call (716) 862-1611 to schedule a consultation.

For patients in Western New York, our consultation service involves weekly visits for a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Patients from out of the area will come in for a day-long intensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning session.

Consultations include:

  • A complete diagnostic evaluation
  • Development of a comprehensive treatment plan that incorporates nutrition, medication and/or supplements, cognitive and motivational interventions
  • Development of an interdisciplinary treatment team for ongoing care
  • A written diagnostic evaluation and treatment plan, as well as recommendations for healthcare practitioners to provide ongoing individualized treatment
