Tune-up for Men

This seminar focuses on various diseases that affect men and the recommended health screenings. Information on prostate cancer, heart disease, cancer and stroke will be provided.

Sun Safety – Understanding Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is the most common of all cancer types. There are more than 1 million skin cancers diagnosed each year in the U.S. The good news is that there is a lot you can do to protect yourself and your family from skin cancer, or to catch it early enough so it can be treated effectively. Learn what to look for and ways prevent it.

Prostate Cancer Prevention and Screening

Early detection and screening can find cancer before the cancer causes any symptoms. The American Cancer Society estimates that many new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. About 1 in 35 men will die from prostate cancer. Due to advanced treatments and screenings, more than 2 million men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer are alive today.

Men and Heart Disease

According to the American Heart Association, some heart attacks are sudden and intense. But most heart attacks start slowly, with mild pain or discomfort. Often people affected aren't sure what's wrong and wait too long before getting help. Learn more about the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and ways to modify behaviors to reduce risk.
