Cardiopulmonary Diagnostic Services
The Center for Cardiopulmonary and Diagnostic Services offers diagnostic testing such as EKG, ECHO, EEG, stress tests, and holter-monitoring.
Emergency Department
In 2005, St. Joseph Hospital finished construction of a new $10 million Emergency Department. The first of planned ED redesigns and rennovations at other CHS hospitals, this 17,000 square-foot facility brings the latest advancements in emergency care to a community hospital setting. The new ED features eighteen specially-designed private treatment rooms with computer access for bedside registration and sliding glass doors, as well as a state-of the-art electronic medical record system, a comfortable and stress-free two-story lobby, and an open nurses station design that allows greater family access.

Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology allows specialists to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions using minimally invasive procedures that often result in shorter hospital stays, reduced recovery time without the pain of a large incision, and minimal surgical scarring. It also provides more options for patients who may not be suitable candidates for more traditional surgical procedures. Medical/Surgical andCritical Care Services
The hospital’s critical care unit offers high level intensive care and cardiac care for adults with serious medical conditions. Medical/surgical units provide comprehensive care for a variety of medical conditions. Nutrition Counseling
Private nutritional counseling services are available to women and men by appointment through the Catholic Health System. Your session will take place in a quiet, confidential, and comfortable atmosphere where you will have your questions and concerns addressed by a qualified dietitian. Outpatient Services
Within our hospital, we have renovated outpatient services on the first floor to provide patients with a convenient, pleasing environment while maintaining the latest medical and diagnostic equipment available for your care. The Laboratory Services Department at St. Joseph Hospital accepts walk-ins for lab services from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays.
Palliative Care
Palliative Care focuses on symptom control and pain management with a heightened regard for the emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Palliative Care is available to patients with life limiting or chronic, debilitating illnesses. This includes both cancer and non-cancer diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, advanced lung disease, dementia, stroke, renal failure, etc. Irrespective of diagnosis or prognosis, Palliative Care seeks to alleviate suffering. The Palliative Care team at St. Joseph Hospital consists of a Pastoral Care Associate, social worker, board certified Palliative Care physician, and an RN specialist. SleepCare
SleepCare is a program provided to patients referred for suspected sleep problems such as sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a recognized medical condition. Polysomnography, monitoring while you sleep, is done in our comfortable facilities under the direct supervision of specially trained staff. During the test period, we will monitor your brain waves, eye movements, heart rate, breathing pattern, muscle activity, and oxygen levels. Treatment options are available to those diagnosed with sleep apnea.
