The Rotating Internship

The rotating internship is currently funded for 10 positions. Applications are accepted from all osteopathic medical schools. This traditional internship has significant flexibility. There are 13 rotations with four as elective rotations: one in internal medicine, one in surgery and two of the intern’s own choice. As of July 1, 2003, the internship PGY-I year salary was $37,150 (call 716-862-1840 for more information on current salaries).

The Family Practice Residency

The family practice residency is a two-year program with eight electives available over two years. The salary is $37,500 for the PGY-II year and $38,000 for the PGY-III year.

The Internal Medicine Residency

The internal medicine residency is a three-year program which is dually accredited by the AOA and ACGME. The salary is $37,500 for the PGY-II year and $38,000 for the PGY-III year.

PGY-II

  • Family Practice: four, 2-week modules
  • Internal Medicine: one, 4-week module
  • Pediatrics: two, 4-week modules
  • ER: one, 4-week module
  • OB/GYN: two, 4-week modules
  • Cardiology: one, 4-week module
  • Psychiatry: one, 4-week module
  • Electives: four, 2-week modules
  • Colorectal Surgery: one, 4-week module

PGY-III

  • Family Practice: five, 2-week modules
  • Internal Medicine: one, 4-week module
  • Pediatrics Outpatient: one, 4-week module
  • ER: one, 4-week module
  • GYN Outpatient: one, 4-week module
  • Dermatology: one, 4-week module
  • Orthopedics: one, 4-week module
  • Geriatrics: one, 4-week module
  • Electives: four, 2-week module
