Your staff was extremely accommodating and gave us a detailed tour of your facility.

I was immediately impressed with the layout of the facility and noticed the nurses' stations responded to all call-buttons immediately.

The housekeeping is excellent and all personnel are dressed professionally and are very pleasant.

The food was excellent and my compliments go to the manager of dietary. Social services does an excellent job of communicating and takes that extra step in welcoming new patients. Sanitation engineers keep the facility free of discarded debris on a continuing and timely basis.

I've observed throughout the day and into the morning hours, the professionals and aides that administer to their charges. They are pleasant, polite, conscientious and knowledgeable. That's a combination that all businesses look for but rarely achieve. Father Baker Manor has done just that!

– Larry Sampsell, Lackawanna

Subacute Rehabilitation

Subacute care is primarily for patients who have recently been hospitalized and need a transitional care setting between their hospital stay and their return to home.

Patients reside for a short period (28 days, on average) at Father Baker Manor, where they receive nursing and therapy care to rebuild their strength and also learn how to better manage their disease or condition

Becoming a Subacute Patient

Patients are often discharged from a hospital to a subacute setting and are referred by a physician, case manager or discharge planner. Patients and their families can request a Catholic Health subacute facility by telling their hospital discharge planner of their preference.

They go out of their way for the smallest things.

If you say anything at all, they are there to help you. And they respond very quickly. They're wonderful to everybody. Everybody is treated the same.
