McAuley Residence is a spacious, air-conditioned facility conveniently located on the same campus as Kenmore Mercy Hospital.
You will find an interdisciplinary team of professionals with specialized training in caring for patients with short-term (subacute) rehabilitation needs.
In 2009, McAuley Residence received a “deficiency-free” survey from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), a designation that reflects McAuley Residence's quality and safety of care.
Our subacute services are provided on dedicated subacute units. You will be with other patients who may have similar conditions. You will also have access to an expansive gym area conducive to your quick and safe recovery.
The Partners In Rehab team includes physicians; nurses; and physical, occupational and speech therapists who develop individualized treatment plans for our patients.
I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa Daniels, who was my nursing assistant – she is the most caring individual I know.
She was gentle with me while providing care, but most importantly, she listened to me and met my needs. She never left my room unless everything was perfect. She treated me like family and my room as if it were her own home. You can tell that Lisa loves her job.
Wireless internet access is available throughout the facility. We have one laptop with a web cam that patients can access 24 hours a day. The laptop can be requested from the supervisor.
Patients are often discharged from a hospital to a subacute setting and are referred by a physician, case manager or discharge planner. Patients and their families can request a Catholic Health subacute facility by telling their hospital discharge planner of their preference.
Visitors are welcome at any time, but we suggest that you visit between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to allow our patients adequate time for personal care and rest.
