At Mercy Hospital, we know that nothing is more important than restoring your child’s health and well-being. That’s why we created a dedicated Pediatric Department with a special hospital wing to care for children from birth up to age 18.
Patients are referred to this unit by area physicians.
Our pediatricians are available in the hospital 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
As a teaching hospital, Mercy Hospital is at the forefront of advanced medicine and technology.
Mercy Hospital has been awarded the Pediatric Patient Safety Excellence Award™ by HealthGrades® for 2010. This award recognizes Mercy Hospital's pediatric care in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and Pediatric Inpatient Unit.
The pediatric unit at Mercy Hospital is outstanding.
I live in Lockport and would much rather make the drive there than to take my kids to Children's. The care is outstanding and the hospital is very clean and updated.
My 11 yr. old recieves Remicade infusions and was petrified of needles when we started. Everyone in the unit was so kind and patient with her that she is no longer scared at all.
Thank you so much!

Mercy Hospital’s Pediatric Unit offers a child-friendly environment to care for pediatric patients while, at the same time, helping to soothe and reassure them and their families.
The Pediatric Unit features 12 private rooms. Every effort is made to accommodate parents in rooms as well, so they can comfortably stay by their child’s side – day or night.
Children without contagious diseases can enjoy a playroom filled with toys, books and videos.
