Founded in 1951, Kenmore Mercy Hospital has been serving the needs of Buffalo’s northern suburbs for over 60 years.
We are accredited by the Joint Commission, illustrating that we meet the highest quality and safety standards in our field.
Specialty Services
Orthopedics: Our orthopedic services include total and partial knee replacement and hip replacement. In 2011, Kenmore Mercy became the first hospital in the Buffalo area to receive Total Knee & Total Hip Replacement Certification from the Joint Commission, the nation's most trusted healthcare regulatory body. The hospital is also a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacement and spine surgery.
Rehabilitation: Our medical rehabilitation unit (MRU) offers treatment for patients who experience hip fractures, strokes or other neurological impairments. Our MRU was ranked in the top 10% of more than 800 rehabilitation facilities in the U.S. in 2008, 2009 and 2011.
Stroke: As a New York State Designated Stroke Center, our patients receive access to immediate care from staff with the clinical expertise and equipment to effectively diagnose and treat stroke patients. Catholic Health hospitals account for three of the five designated stroke centers in Erie County. In 2011, the Joint Commission awarded Kenmore Mercy certification for its Advanced Primary Stroke Center, making it the first of Catholic Health’s hospitals to receive this certification.
