Sisters Hospital Clinical Pastoral Education Program is accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education Inc. (ACPE) and the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops on Certification and Accreditation (USCCB/CCA).
USCCB/CCA is the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops Commission on Certification and Accreditation, the accrediting agency for CPE programs sponsored by institutions listed in The Official Catholic Directory. The USCCB/CCA accredits CPE programs who evidence compliance with USCCB/CCA accreditation standards for CPE programs.
The NACC is the National Association of Catholic Chaplains founded in 1965. The NACC board certified Catholic Chaplains and CPE Supervisors who meet the NACC certification standards and procedures approved by the USCCB/CCA.
ACPE is an interfaith association that was founded in 1967. ACPE provides Standards and Objectives for developing CPE programs. The association certifies CPE supervisors who have fulfilled requirements for certification. ACPE also accredits centers to offer programs in CPE.
