The purpose of our obstetrics and gynecology residency program is to prepare physicians for the challenges of women's healthcare today and in the future. Our aim is to help you achieve your full potential as an obstetrician and gynecologist while providing the education and training to pass the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty exams, leading to board certification and fellowship in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Our four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology is a university program sponsored by the State University of New York at Buffalo Graduate Medical-Dental Education Consortium, and is dually accredited by both the ACGME and AOA.

As a resident at Sisters Hospital, you will receive comprehensive education and training in OB/GYN, enhanced with solid operative experience and exposure to outpatient/office practice. An OB/GYN residency at Sisters Hospital is a complete preparation for primary care practice or a post-residency fellowship.

I feel we have an excellent residency program and are continually working to improve the quality of resident education. At our last accreditation review in March 2010, our program received a four-year full accreditation cycle. The hospital and faculty is committed to continue with our long tradition of resident education in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
