Program Director's Message

On behalf of Catholic Health, we extend a warm welcome to you and are delighted you are considering our program for your training. The University at Buffalo (Sisters of Charity Hospital) Internal Medicine Training Program (IMTP) is the crown jewel of Graduate Medical Education at Catholic Health.

At Sisters, excellence in education is as much a part of the hospital’s mission as is its role as a center for healing. It is one of the major teaching institutions of the University at Buffalo and is fully-accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

The size of our program, the dedicated faculty, two training campuses, the state of the art facilities and our emphasis on educational excellence brings us some of the best graduates who have flourished in our program.

Our success in ABIM Certification Examination year after year, resident scholarship in regional and national meeting, back to back NY State championship in ACP Medical Jeopardy competitions, electronic portfolio for each resident and many other successes are a tribute to our outstanding faculty and second to none resident staff.
