Catholic Health's Mercy Hospital and Sisters of Charity Hospital are members of The Graduate Medical-Dental Consortium of Buffalo, a collaborative organization of teaching hospitals accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Dental Association (ADA). Residents who are recruited to the residency programs at Mercy Hospital and Sisters Hospital are able to rotate through any of the Consortium’s teaching hospitals.
Our internal medicine program combines hospital-based activities, a multifaceted outpatient experience, and an understanding of the realities of private practice within an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse patient population, ensuring a strong clinical experience for our residents.
The Osteopathic Training Program at Sisters Hospital is the first in New York State (outside of the New York City area) to be accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Our four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology is a university program sponsored by the State University of New York at Buffalo. As a resident at Sisters Hospital, you will receive comprehensive education and training in OB/GYN, enhanced with solid operative experience and exposure to outpatient/office practice.
The podiatric training program at Sisters of Charity Hospital was established in 2002 and offers both PM&S-24 and PM&S-36 residencies.
