On April 22, 2011, a Healthcare Career Day was held at St. Leo the Great School, where 380 high school students in Western New York were able to increase their knowledge of healthcare careers.
Students pursuing a science/math curriculum received information about medical careers and talked to career counselors from local colleges. They also tested their skills with hands-on-activities at the display tables.
With an estimated 1,250,000 Healthcare “baby boomers” reaching retirement, today’s healthcare professionals are in high demand across the country and right here in Western New York.
Through MASH Camps and healthcare career days, Catholic Health encourages students to pusue rewarding careers in healthcare.
If your school is interested in participating in the MASH Camp program, contact Nancy Preskop at npreskop@chsbuffalo.org or call (716) 706-2584.
