Training for New Hires

Our free training series provides a series of 3 presentations to our associates that address issues such as workplace injuries, nutrition and exercise.

Catholic Health University

Catholic Health University (CHU) offers over 70 courses that assist associates in enhancing their ability to carry out the Catholic Health mission.

RN to BSN 

The Catholic Health and Niagara University RN to BS in Nursing Program is a series of credit courses to be held at Catholic Health over a thirty month period of time, which will permit students enrolled in all such courses to earn a BS in Nursing Degree.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course

This program is designed to meet the American Heart Association guidelines for training ACLS. This course is not meant to license, certify, or credential providers.

Registrants are encouraged to have completed a BLS provider course within the past two years.

  • A background in rhythm recognition is required. This course is not designed as a complete course in arrhythmia recognition.
  • Arrhythmia Class and ACLS Prep Course are available. Please call Staff Development for information at (716) 706-2541.

Recertification Program: $125
8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
January 13, February 24, March 25, April 14, May 13, June 16, July 8, August 11, September 10, October 20, November 12 and December 1.

Initial Provider Program: $200, Length-1.5 days
Day 1 - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Day 2 - 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Slated for February 25 & 26, April 15 & 16, June 17 & 18, August 18 & 19, October 21& 22, and December
2 & 3.

Fees for both courses do not include a textbook.

Tuition for Catholic Health associates is $30 per course.
