- Mercy Breaks Ground on New ED
- October 30, 2008 - With a vision to create the region’s most state-of-art emergency facility, Mercy Hospital of Buffalo has broken ground on a $32 million construction project that will result in a 46,000 square-foot addition to the front of the hospital.
- SFW Hosts Community Wellness Fair and Open House
- October 30, 2008 - St. Francis of Williamsville, a Residential Health & Subacute Care Facility of Catholic Health, located at 147 Reist St. in Williamsville, will be hosting a Community Open House & Wellness Fair on Thursday, November 13, 2008.
- Catholic Health Receives Wendt Foundation Grants
- October 24, 2008 - The Mercy Hospital Foundation’s Emergency Room (ER) Campaign and the OLV Senior Neighborhood recently received grants of $500,000 and $125,000 respectively from The Margaret L. Wendt Foundation in support of their projects to improve emergency care services at Mercy Hospital and to complete the “Main Street” phase of OLV’s Senior Neighborhood.

- October 16, 2008 - On Thursday, October 16, Catholic Health’s Continuing Care Division remembered Father Baker and honored Dr. Cotroneo with the dedication of the new Father Baker Gaslight Park and the Cotroneo Café at the OLV Senior Neighborhood on Melroy at Ridge Road in Lackawanna.

- October 14, 2008 - Kenmore Mercy Hospital announced today that it has been recognized as the best rated hospital in the Buffalo area and among the top ten percent of hospitals in the nation for joint replacement for the third year in a row (2007 - 2009) by HealthGrades.
