Catholic Health’s Community Outreach is partnering with the Matt Urban Hope Center to offer Buffalo’s East Side families a FREE event, BACK 2 SCHOOL. The first 200 school-aged youths who attend and participate will receive a free backpack stocked with supplies to help get them ready for the new school year.

Mission On The Move with the help of Dr. Andrew Harbison and doctor residents from Sisters of Charity Hospital will provide a variety of free health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol levels, BMI, and full physical exams.

The Mobile Mammography Unit will also be on site from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing free mammograms. Plus, multiple exhibitors including Fidelis Care and the Erie County, NY Department of Health will arrange free services such as CPR training.

The Matt Urban Hope Center supports kids and adults with family social programs, which include after school care, free hot meals, professional clothes, tax prep, housing and job assistance. Catholic Health has partnered with them for several years, assisting with health services for Buffalo’s homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless.
