The job market can be challenging and confusing for healthcare professionals. It’s not only about finding a job; it’s about finding the right job. That is why Catholic Health has launched the Talent Network, a web-based virtual network that allows job seekers to share their skills, experience, and interests, connect directly with recruiter for networking and then be automatically alerted when a job opens-up that appears to be a good match.
“Advancing your career is as much about timing, as it is networking, researching and job hunting,” said Bridget Russo, vice president, talent acquisition and development for Catholic Health.
“By registering with our talent network, healthcare professionals network with Catholic Health and can be alerted to job opportunities that are appropriate for their qualifications and interests as soon as they become available.”
Job seekers are asked to provide some basic information, including their name, contact information, and areas of interest. They are welcome to provide more detailed information and can upload their resume as well.
“It’s a competitive job market and all too often people might settle for a position that may not be the best fit. An advantage of the Talent Network is that it provides us with the ability to alert potential candidates to the kind of job opportunities they qualify for, even if they are not actively looking,” Russo added.
Catholic Health employs more than 8,500 professionals in both clinical and administrative roles, in a variety of healthcare settings across Western New York. In 2012, Catholic Health hired more than 1,700 new associates, making it the strongest year for talent acquisition since 2008.
