For the second year in a row (2012-2013), Kenmore Mercy Hospital, a member of Catholic Health, was named among the top five percent of hospitals in the country for patient safety by being named a recipient of Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award (Kenmore Mercy Hospital Awards). Kenmore Mercy is one of only three hospitals in New York State to receive the award for two consecutive years, which recognizes excellence in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stays.
John Kane, Catholic Health vice president of Quality & Patient Safety, credits the hospital’s emphasis on patient safety and customer satisfaction. “Every member of Kenmore Mercy’s healthcare team, regardless of their role or responsibility, has maintained a strong focus on patient safety,” he said. “This award sends a clear message to the hospital’s patients that their care and comfort is a top priority.”
